Everyone living in Cimla should make their views on the candidate sites known and clearly heard at every opportunity.
The LDP originated as a result of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act of 2004 which requires the council to prepare such a binding document for the county borough. The main roles of the LDP will be to:
When adopted in 2013 the LDP will constitute the development plan for Neath Port Talbot and will be the primary document for use in the determination of planning applications and appeals. It will not be easy to object to sites when they are included within the LDP
This is why it is important to make sure you know where Cimla’s candidate sites are and make your views on them known now. All of the candidate sites in Cimla will have some effect on the community at large. They will probably have a big impact on YOUR life.
